  1. I think its great that you desire to research the results of BYOD. I definately agree with you that it could definately be a releaving factor if anything imroves test scores. I would really like to see schools get back to a more rounded curriculum where subjects that are not on the tests are actually given some validity again. I also think it is important to know if a new concept is actually effective. Testing is definately a yard stick that could show results, I would wonder however how many other factors could effect these tests as well.

  2. Your research on BYOD and tests results are very critical. I say that because, if Federal, state, and local school districts see the improvement in test scores by using technology device then maybe there could be more funding for schools to equip their students with technology devices. I have seen technology improve learning and comprehension skills by big margins. I believe your result will show the demand for BYOD and also why school districts should equip their student with technology devices.

I agree that further research needs to be done in order to advice bringing your own device to school. Most students are very resilient in learning and most of the time can learn a whole lot faster than the educator themselves can. However, I believe it can be very overwhelming for students who are not familiar with a device to have to worry about taking the test on a “new” device in the first place while stressing over if they will pass the test or not. If the devices were taught prior to the testing, this scenario would be different. However, we are assuming that the students have not been exposed and whether or not the device is beneficial to state testing and assessments.
It has been a pleasure working with you in class. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. God Bless you as you continue on with your studies.
    Blessings ~ Ruthie
